Billie Eilish has announced her “dream” collaboration with James Cameron — a documentary film based on her concert journey, Hit Me Hard and Soft: The Tour.

The announcement accompanies the tour’s conclusion on November 23, as a very excited Eilish took to her socials to unveil the project which will be heading to theatres soon.

“HIT ME HARD AND SOFT: THE TOUR (LIVE IN 3D) coming to theatres on march 20th 2026 !!!!” the Birds of a Feather singer shared.

She further revealed in her caption that “this has been one of my favorite tours everrrrrr and being able to capture it and co-direct this film with @jamescameronofficial has truly been a dream come true. can’t wait for you all to see it”. (Sic)

Eilish and Cameron’s partnership was first hinted at back in July, when the singer-songwriter had told the crowd at her sold out Manchester concert that she was in the middle of doing a 3D project with the director behind successes like Avatar, Titanic, The Terminator, and many others.

“So you may have noticed that there are more cameras than usual in here,” she said at the time. “Basically, I can’t say much about it, but what I can say is that I’m working on something very, very special with somebody named James Cameron, and it’s going to be in 3D.”

The Oscar and Grammy winner had also shared with her audience that they, along with her, “are part of a thing that I am making with him.”

“He’s in this audience somewhere, just saying,” she called out Cameron. “So don’t mind that, and also I’ll probably be wearing this exact outfit for like four days in a row.”

While Billie Eilish’s new documentary, directed by James Cameron, will be released next year, she has participated in one other similar project before — a documentary/musical titled Happier Than Ever: A Love Letter to Los Angeles, released in 2021.
