Justin Theroux reflects on sharing screen with Meryl Streep in 'Devil Wears Prada 2'

Justin Theroux opened up about working with the legendary star Meryl Streep.

The Leftovers actor is living the dream after being cast in The Devil Wears Prada 2, where he recently filmed scenes with the iconic actress.

Speaking with PEOPLE in an exclusive interview at the Fallout season 2 premiere in Los Angeles on December 8, the 54-year-old actor opened up about sharing the screen with the three-time Oscar winner in the highly anticipated sequel to the 2006 fashion classic.

“Oh my God. I think she was nervous to work with me, but I tried to…” Theroux joked before adding, “No, she was fabulous.”

He went on to praise Streep’s professionalism and approachability on set: “It goes without saying she’s a professional, but after a few minutes of nerves, you immediately realize, ‘Oh, she’s just a really quality actress that I’m getting to work with.’ That was really thrilling.”

Theroux has been documenting his experience on the sequel throughout production.

In October, the American Psycho alum shared Instagram photos from Italy where he filmed scenes alongside his wife, Nicole Brydon Bloom while the images also featured cast members Stanley Tucci, Anne Hathaway, Emily Blunt, B.J. Novak and Simone Ashley.

The Devil Wears Prada 2 is scheduled to hit theaters on May 1, 2026.

Besides The Devil Wears Prada 2, Justin Theroux will also appear in the upcoming second season of Prime Video’s post-apocalyptic drama Fallout, based on the popular video game.

Fallout Season 2 is set to premiere on December 17.
