Nick Reiner, who has been charged with two counts of first-degree murder after the deaths of his parents Rob Reiner and Michele Singer Reiner, has shockingly declined to enter a plea.

As reported by PEOPLE, the 32-year-old suspect made his first appearance in Los Angeles Superior Court and spoke for the first time on Wednesday, December 17, wearing a blue anti-suicide smock and shackles.

Seated behind glass declined to enter a plea for his client.

Even after that, when the judge asked if Nick was okay waiving his right to a speedy arraignment, he replied, “Yes, your honor.”

Moreover, following the court hearing, his attorney Alan Jackson told the reporters, "There are very, very complex and serious issues that are associated with this case."

He added, "Those need to be thoroughly, but very carefully, dealt with and examined and looked at and analyzed."

The arraignment has been scheduled for January 7, 2026.

Nick Reiner has been charged with two counts of first-degree murder.

Such charges carry a maximum sentence of life in prison without parole or the death penalty, if convicted. At the moment, he is being held without bail.
