Derek Hough and Hayley Erbert announce birth of first baby

Derek Hough and Hayley Erbert have officially begun their journey into parenthood, welcoming their first child together on December 29, 2025.

The couple announced the arrival of their daughter, Everley Capri Hough, in a joint Instagram post on January 5, with a heart-touching black-and-white photo of their hands cupped around the baby’s tiny feet.

“Every step of our lives has led us to you," Everley captioned the post, adding, "Our hearts have been cracked wide open and our world is forever changed.”

Hough and Erbert, who tied the knot in August 2023, first revealed they were expecting in July 2025 with a sweet video featuring sonogram photos and sunlit embraces.

Previously, Derek shared his excitement for fatherhood in interviews, recalling the moment he first felt the baby kick and calling it an experience that “changed everything” for him.

The couple has also been open about previous pregnancy losses. In an emotional video on Instagram in October 2025, describing it as “a chapter of love, loss, heartbreak, and everything in between.”
