Bruno Mars teases major comeback with new album announcement
Bruno Mars drops bombshell announcement on social media
Bruno Mars, whose real name is Peter Gene Hernandez, stunned his fans with an exciting news.
Bruno Mars has officially hinted at his return. On January 5, the multi Grammy winning artist, took to X, to make a simple but explosive announcement, “My album is done.”
The news comes five years after Mars teamed up with Anderson .Paak to form Silk Sonic and release An Evening with Silk Sonic, and roughly a decade after his last solo studio album, 24K Magic.
For fans who have been waiting patiently, the update confirms what many have hoped for, new Bruno Mars music is finally on the way.
While the Talking to the Moon singer has stayed visible through high profile collaborations, including 2024’s hit Die with a Smile with Lady Gaga and the surprise Top 20 Billboard track Fat Juicy & Wet with Sexyy Red in 2025, those releases only offered brief glimpses of his output.
At this point, details are under wraps as the 40-year-old star did not share a release date, track list, featured artists or insight into the album’s sound.
Whether he’ll revisit the retro R&B influences that have defined much of his career also remains unknown.
Moreover, with 2026 shaping up to be a busy year for music releases, it’s possible Bruno Mars’ long awaited album could arrive sometime next year.
