Kendall Jenner breaks silence on longstanding internet rumor about her sexuality

Kendall Jenner has opened up about the long-running rumor that she’s secretly a lesbian.

On the In Your Dreams podcast, the 30-year-old model told host Owen Thiele, “I think there's this whole narrative that I'm hiding this thing.”

Jenner added the speculation “bothers” her, particularly because of the mean-spirited nature of online comments. 

“It's very mean. It's very like, 'What the f---- are you doing?’” she said.

While she does not identify as gay, Jenner explained she would have no issue coming out if she were. “Knowing myself, I think at this point in my life I'd be out if I was,” she said.

The model clarified, “All's to say, as of today, I am not. I don't think I will be, but I'm not closing doors to experiences in life.”

Over the years, Jenner has been linked romantically to Harry Styles, Devin Booker, and most recently, Bad Bunny. Despite her openness, she prefers to keep her dating life private.

“Kendall's always had this rule she felt like she had to be with someone for at least a year before she let them be a part of the show,” said Keeping Up with the Kardashians executive producer Farnaz Farjam in 2021.

Jenner has long spoken about keeping personal matters private. “For me, a lot of things are very special and very sacred, like my friends and relationships,” she told Vogue Australia in 2019. 

“Bringing things into the public makes everything so much messier,” Kendall Jenner said.
