Leonardo DiCaprio, Gwyneth Paltrow reunion sparks nostalgia

Leonardo DiCaprio and Gwyneth Paltrow have crossed paths again this week, more than three decades after the actress revealed she once turned him down.

The two Hollywood icons were photographed together at the AFI Awards, held at the Four Seasons Hotel in Beverly Hills on Friday, January 9, smiling as they posed for cameras, a moment that quickly gave a flashback to their early connection.

For the unversed, Paltrow previously addressed the rumour during a 2023 appearance on the Call Her Daddy podcast, where she confirmed that DiCaprio had asked her out when they were teenagers. 

“He tried back in the day,” she said at the time, adding that nothing ever came of it.

Archival photos suggest the interaction likely dates back to 1994, when Paltrow was around 21 and DiCaprio was 19, both on the brink of stardom.

Moving forward to the present, both stars have moved firmly on. 

The actress has been married to television producer Brad Falchuk since 2018 and shares two children with ex-husband Chris Martin. 

Leonardo DiCaprio, meanwhile, has been linked to Italian model Vittoria Ceretti since 2023, with the pair recently spotted together in Los Angeles and St. Barths.
