Jennifer Lawrence has opened up about that one role that she desperately wanted, but her longtime friend got the role instead.

During a Q&A with Josh Horowitz at 92NY Kaufmann Concert Hall in New York City on January 7. The actress told the host she been looking for the role badly.

“The one that I wanted that she got was Easy A,” she said, adding, “I was nuts for Easy A, and I really should have gotten it, right? The movie could have turned out great.”

The Oscar-winning actress also reflected on a recent SAG Awards moment when Stone was nominated for her role in Bugonia, while Lawrence’s performance in Die My Love was overlooked.

“We were over in our friend group chat, and she got nominated for SAG today, and I did not,” Lawrence joked. “Adding, and I wrote, like, ‘What?’ And all of our friends were like, ‘Congratulations, Emma!’ And then I would just do, like, a sad face.

She further added, "Every time she's tried to talk today, I’ve just been like, ‘Why are you talking and not sorry?’”

Then the actress admitted with sincerity that she felt honored, “She's been beating me for decades, and it’s an honor.”

The Hunger Games star also looked back on her early auditions, admitting she had no formal acting training and learned on the job.

“I didn’t do acting classes or lessons, so when I started auditioning, I was just learning myself with no real feedback,” she recalled.
