Where was Sydney Sweeney? The real reason the ‘Euphoria’ star missed the Globes
The 'Euphoria' star's co-star, Amanda Sefried, was present at the Golden Globes 2026
Sydney Sweeney was not present at the Golden Globes 2026 Awards.
The Euphoria star did not attend the ceremony on Sunday as she was neither nominated nor scheduled to present.
According to Elle, she did not attend the awards due to her latest film, Christy, failing to secure any Golden Globe nomination this year.
Meanwhile, the Anyone But You actress attended the pre-Globe party on January 9, which was held at the Polo Lounge within the Beverly Hills Hotel.
Her, The Housemaid's co-star Amanda Seyfried, however, was present at the Globes.
The Chloe actress earned two nominations: Best Actress in a Motion Picture – Musical or Comedy for The Testament of Ann Lee, and Best Actress in a Limited Series or TV Movie for Long Bright River.
Earlier this week Sweeney spoke warmly about Seyfried in an interview with W magazine, calling her a close friend.
“I’m obsessed with Amanda,” Sweeney said, adding, “She’s my spirit animal. She’s made me feel more comfortable just being myself.”
