Jennifer Lopez was not rude in viral Glambot clip, Director Cole Walliser says
Cole Walliser clarifies viral moment with Jennifer Lopez on Glambot at 2026 Golden Globes
Director Cole Walliser has clarified the viral moment with Jennifer Lopez on the Glambot at the 2026 Golden Globes, insisting the star was not rude during the red carpet interaction.
In an Instagram video, Walliser addressed accusations that Lopez, 56, had been impolite while preparing for her Glambot appearance.
The device — a high-speed camera capturing celebrities in slow motion — had Walliser directing Lopez as she posed in her nude gown.
A behind-the-scenes clip showed Lopez turning her back to Walliser, posing for the camera, and waving before moving on, prompting some viewers to label her behavior as dismissive. Walliser disagrees.
“I didn’t take it personally. It didn’t feel rude in that moment,” he said, explaining that Lopez was simply focused on her shot and the closed carpet schedule. “She was just down to business. She knew what she was going to do. She got into position.”
Walliser emphasised that the positioning made it appear as though Lopez was looking away. “I knew she was getting ready. I knew it was late. We were just getting through it. That moment didn’t feel rude,” he added, praising her professionalism.
With millions of Instagram followers, Walliser’s clarification aims to end the speculation, portraying Lopez as focused and courteous while delivering her signature Glambot moment.
