Wishbone Kitchen’s Meredith Hayden shares relationship update

Meredith Hayden has offered a rare glimpse into her relationship and her love language ahead of Valentine’s Day.

In a TikTok shared on Feb. 11, the Wishbone Kitchen creator revealed the thoughtful surprise she was preparing for her boyfriend, whose identity she has kept private. 

The gesture, she explained, centers on acts of service and food, specifically recreating dishes the couple enjoyed together during a recent trip to Japan.

“I am surprising my boyfriend for Valentine’s Day by recreating some of our favorite dishes that we had in Japan,” Hayden told viewers.

The video follows Hayden as she prepares matcha ice cream outdoors, using snow as a natural coolant. 

Bundled up against the cold, she explained that she hollowed out a space in the snow and lined it with kosher salt to help maintain the ideal freezing temperature.

She then whisked heavy cream in a bowl nestled into the snow until it thickened, later adding condensed milk, salt and matcha before placing the mixture in the freezer to set overnight.

Hayden candidly admitted the dish wasn’t entirely for her partner.

“I also have to be honest. This is not one of my boyfriend’s favorite dishes,” she said. “This is actually one of mine. But I feel like all gifts we get for our significant others are low-key also just gifts for us at the end of the day.”

The post marks a rare personal update from Hayden, who has largely kept her current relationship off social media. 

She previously shared that her past relationship ended in early 2025, a breakup she addressed publicly months later after processing it privately.

In an April 2025 interview with People, Hayden pushed back against online speculation surrounding the split, including rumors that she and her former boyfriend, whom fans nicknamed “Chicken Man” had purchased her Hamptons home together.

“They were like, ‘Yeah, the breakup was really messy because they bought that house together,’” she recalled. “I’m like, ‘You guys, stop.’”

In reality, Hayden said she bought the converted barn on her own and kept the breakup private for six months.

“I wanted to process that on my own,” she said at the time. “I can’t imagine dealing with my own emotions plus input from strangers.”

Hints of a new relationship surfaced later that year. In an October 2025 TikTok shared on her second account, Hayden referenced “new relationship weight,” fueling speculation among fans. 

More recently, she posted photos from her 30th birthday trip to Japan, the same trip that inspired her Valentine’s Day menu, which she took with her boyfriend.
