Travis Kelce’s praise for Taylor Swift fuels new album speculation

Fans of Taylor Swift are once again speculating about new music after comments from her fiancé, Travis Kelce, during a recent interview.

The Kansas City Chiefs tight end appeared on Pat McAfee’s sports talk program, The Pat McAfee Show, where he spoke about how Swift’s dedication to her craft inspired him to continue playing in the National Football League.

Kelce praised the pop star’s commitment to songwriting, saying her passion motivates him in his own career.

“We share the same love for what we do,” Kelce said, explaining that both of them have pursued their professions since childhood. He added that watching Swift repeatedly return to the creative process has been inspiring.

“It’s amazing to see her keep going to the table, keep finding new things to write about and discovering new melodies,” he said. “And on top of that, she still has that joy and love for what she does.”

Kelce said that energy played a role in his decision to return for another NFL season rather than retire.

However, fans quickly focused on another part of his remarks. Swifties on social media began speculating that his comment about her “finding new things to write about” could mean the singer is already working on new music. 

Many linked the idea to a potential 13th studio album, often referred to by fans as “TS13,” referencing Swift’s well-known lucky number.

Despite the excitement online, Swift has not confirmed that a new album is in the works. 

Her most recent studio release, The Life of a Showgirl, arrived in October 2025 and continues to perform strongly, featuring songs such as The Fate of Ophelia, Opalite and the recently released single Elizabeth Taylor.
