Why you should only book your holiday on a Tuesday, Wednesday or Saturday
An aviation insider shares the exact days to find the best airline deals
A former flight attendant has revealed a series of insider strategies designed to help holidaymakers secure significantly cheaper airfares.
In an Instagram post shared on 13 March, the aviation expert, known as Bianca, outlined four key methods to outsmart airline pricing algorithms.
She emphasised that successful booking is not merely about finding the lowest fare, but about understanding the industry's digital patterns.
“I’m not a gatekeeper, I gotta give you guys the tea… everybody needs to know these hacks,” she noted, highlighting her desire to share these professional secrets.
Strategic timing for lower fares
Success in securing a bargain often depends on the specific day and time a traveller chooses to browse. “You’re gonna book your flights only on a Tuesday, a Wednesday or a Saturday… you’re gonna sit down on one of those days and book your flight—they’re cheaper, better deals,” Bianca advised.
Furthermore, she suggested that the early hours of the morning are optimal for finding price drops. “Book your flight early in the morning or late at night… like three or four in the morning. Flights drop in the middle of the night; this is the best time,” she added.
Digital privacy and post-booking refunds
Incognito browsing: To avoid dynamic pricing based on location, Bianca suggests a technical approach. “Use a VPN or incognito mode… you don’t want your demographic to show because they will rack up the prices based on where you live,” she explained.
Price tracking: The expert also recommended monitoring costs even after a purchase is finalised. She suggested using services to track drops, noting that travellers can “send your flight confirmation to Jetback’s email so whenever your flight drops in price, they’ll send you the refund after you’ve already booked.”
