Emma Bunton, Holly Willoughby shine at Disney launch post 'Spice Girls' reunion cancellation
Spice Girls have not performed as full group since London 2012 Olympics closing ceremony
Emma Bunton was seen grinning alongside her friend Holly Willoughby at a Disney event after plans for the "Spice Girls" reunion fell through.
The 50-year-old singer visited the press event for Disney Adventure World and World Of Frozen at Disneyland Paris in France on Saturday.
She seemed to set aside her band’s troubles as she posed for photos with her long-term friend Holly, who is 45.
Baby Spice embraced the magic by wearing Mickey Mouse ears along with a tie featuring the iconic character.
She looked stylish in a white blouse tucked into straight-leg jeans paired with a cream wool coat.
In contrast, Holly sported a black t-shirt tucked into jeans, a black coat, and brown boots.
She also embraced the Disney vibe with her own pair of ears as they beamed for the cameras.
The duo has been close friends for many years and are regularly seen out with a circle of friends, including Melanie Blatt and Christine Lampard.
Emma's appearance comes following The Sun's exclusive reveal that the Spice Girls' 30th anniversary reunion plans have been called off due to timing issues.
Emma, together with Mel C, Mel B, Victoria Beckham, and Geri Halliwell-Horner, were in discussions about a series of concerts to celebrate 30 years since their hit debut single Wannabe.
The Sun reports that they could not come to an agreement, and plans for a comeback tour in 2026 have been shelved.
In an interview on The Smallzy Show on Australia’s KIIS Radio, Mel C, 52, confirmed: “No, there is no reunion.
“We are in touch all the time and hope to do something eventually – it's uncertain when.
“However, I remain hopeful and wishfully optimistic that you might see the Spice Girls together again in the future.”
The Sun previously reported in April that Geri, 53, had reconnected with the band’s former manager, Simon Fuller, and traveled to Miami to negotiate a deal.
As recently as January, Mel C had stated they were still in ongoing discussions about the anniversary celebration.
Even Victoria, 51, had sparked hope for a comeback, expressing her “love” for the possibility of a residency at the Las Vegas venue Sphere.
In October, she commented on the idea: “It sounds enticing. But could I commit to a world tour? I don't think so. I have another career...
“How amazing would the Spice Girls be at the Sphere! I adore the concept. Though, I’m unsure if I can still hit the right notes, I've never been the best singer!”
However, recently, those plans unraveled, with only a souvenir coin from the Royal Mint being announced to commemorate the anniversary.
A Netflix series inspired by the band was also dropped last month amid reported tensions among members.
The Spice Girls have not performed as a full group since the London 2012 Olympics closing ceremony.
They last came together without Posh in 2019 for a 13-dates sold-out stadium tour in the UK and Ireland, drawing 700,000 attendees and earning £4.4m each.
