Uma Thurman is giving major credit to her Pretty Lethal co-stars for their high-energy performances.

Speaking with People at the 2026 SXSW Film & TV Festival premiere of the action thriller, the 55-year-old actress opened up about working alongside a younger cast who took on physically demanding roles and left her impressed.

“My part wasn’t as stunt-heavy as the other actresses in the movie, so it wasn’t hard for me in that way,” Thurman said. “But what they did was mind-blowing.”

The film features a dynamic ensemble including Millicent Simmonds, Lana Condor, Maddie Ziegler, Avantika Vandanapu, and Iris Apatow.

According to Thurman, the group was fully committed to their roles, performing their own stunts and choreography while working closely with stunt teams to craft intense action sequences.

Despite having a less physically demanding role in Pretty Lethal, Thurman is no stranger to action films.

The actress, best known for her work in Kill Bill, reflected on her extensive experience with stunt training as she prepares for her upcoming role in The Old Guard 2.

“Fortunately I had put in hundreds of hours learning how to hold a sword,” she previously shared, noting that her past training helped shape her approach to action roles.

Meanwhile, Thurman’s legacy in the genre continues to inspire her co-stars.

Ziegler revealed that the actress’s iconic fight scenes in Kill Bill served as a major reference point during the making of Pretty Lethal.

“Her being just a badass woman, we looked to her for inspiration,” Ziegler said, adding that she was thrilled to learn Thurman had joined the project.

She also praised the veteran star for her presence on set, calling her “so talented, graceful, poised and kind,” and describing the experience of working together as unforgettable.
