Sydney Sweeney is set to return to the big screen in the gothic thriller The Housemaid’s Secret, and fans now have their first eerie glimpse of the upcoming sequel.
On Monday, March 31, the Euphoria star shared a post on her Instagram Stories, giving her 26.1 million followers a sneak peek at the film and confirming its official release date.
"When one door closes… The Housemaid's Secret: coming to theatres December 17, 2027," Sweeney captioned the spine-chilling post, which featured a slightly ajar door—hinting at the mystery and suspense to come.
The announcement follows a cryptic post from the movie’s official Instagram account, featuring the line: "I would prefer you refer to me as Mrs. Garrick," further teasing the film’s dark and suspenseful tone.
Directed by Paul Feig, known for hits like A Simple Favor and Another Simple Favor, the sequel reunites an exciting ensemble cast, including Kirsten Dunst and Michele Morrone.
While Amanda Seyfried starred in the first film, it has yet to be confirmed whether she will reprise her role alongside Sweeney as Millie Calloway.
The Housemaid’s Secret promises another gothic journey filled with intrigue and suspense, arriving in theatres December 17, 2027.
