Protesters scale fence at Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor's new residence
Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor faced a group of demonstrators at his new residence in Norfolk
Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor faced a group of demonstrators at his new residence in Norfolk, highlighting a substantial security issue just weeks after his relocation to the Sandringham estate.
Recent images show protesters scaling his fence. Earlier, the former Prince had been observed driving his Range Rover alone into Marsh Farm on the King's Sandringham estate, and it was thought he was inside when four people arrived by car, shouting insults.
At 66, Andrew is currently residing at nearby Wood Farm as renovations continue on his new place, although he has made several trips this week to check on the work's progress.
The protestors reportedly climbed the fence outside the house and hurled insults at Andrew, but his security was swift in addressing the incident, leading to the protesters leaving in their vehicle shortly after.
Last month, movers were spotted transporting Andrew's belongings, including artwork and books, to his new home. The boxes showed that Andrew continues to use his HRH title, despite it being withdrawn last November.
In a recent segment of A Right Royal Podcast, Matt Wilkinson, the royal editor for The Sun, elaborated on why Andrew's move to Marsh Farm was anticipated around the Easter holiday.
Matt shared: "He's currently at Wood Farm, which is temporary lodging. The royal family often uses Wood Farm, and with Easter approaching, more family members might visit Sandringham for a holiday, so there's a need for Andrew to move to Marsh Farm promptly.
"They've installed major security gates and have been working tirelessly for weeks; the furniture, including a fridge and a large wardrobe, has been moved in. New carpets and a fully renovated kitchen are part of the changes."
He added: "It was anticipated that Andrew would be settled into his quasi-exile by Easter, the first weekend in April. Yet, I suspect he might move sooner, as Wood Farm's availability is in demand."
Andrew had to vacate Royal Lodge after King Charles revoked his royal titles and privileges last year. Since then, he has been residing at Wood Farm while his new place is being refurbished.
His links with Jeffrey Epstein resulted in the forfeiture of his titles and official dwelling, prompting his move to the Sandringham Estate.
