Melania Trump hints at King Charles, Queen Camilla state visit in video
First Lady has sparked excitement for King Charles and Queen Camilla's upcoming royal visit
The First Lady, Melania Trump, has offered a glimpse into the upcoming visit from King Charles and Queen Camilla with a video showcasing preparations at the White House.
The royal couple is set to visit the US at the end of April, having formally accepted Donald Trump's invitation for a State Visit.
This will be Trump's first state dinner at the White House during his second term and His Majesty's inaugural visit to America as the monarch of the United Kingdom.
Trump, 55, shared the video on the First Lady's social media platform, with views exceeding 100,000 times.
The footage showcased the First Lady sorting through documents, consulting with staff, and organising how she envisions the visit unfolding.
The video description reads: "Attention to detail in everything," along with American and British flags, and the state dinner date, April 28.
Trump has taken this visit as an opportunity to promote his White House ballroom initiative, contrasting it with former presidents who arranged state dinners under tents on the South Lawn.
The US President remarked to reporters on Tuesday: "Many of you have been in the tent when we host someone of significant importance or high esteem.
"And they end up in a tent, and if it rains, you get drenched, as the ground here gets soaked quickly."
Referring to the planned state visit, Mr. Trump stated: "We certainly don't want him sitting in a puddle."
Earlier this week, Buckingham Palace confirmed that the King and Queen will travel to the US, coinciding with America's 250th Independence celebration.
Sir Keir Starmer anticipates the State Visit will mend the special bond between the UK and the US following a long period of strain between the Prime Minister and the President.
A Buckingham Palace announcement highlighted: "Their Majesties' itinerary will honor the historic ties and contemporary relationships between the UK and the US, celebrating the 250th anniversary of American Independence."
The Palace indicated that precise dates would be publicised closer to the trip. Nonetheless, shortly after, Trump seemed to disclose the dates in a Truth Social post.
