Original 'Charlie's Angels' stars celebrate fifty years of iconic series in Los Angeles
Kate Jackson spoke warmly about the sudden global fame the series achieved overnight
Television icons Kate Jackson, Jaclyn Smith, and Cheryl Ladd orchestrated a historic reunion on Monday to commemorate the 50th anniversary of the legendary series Charlie’s Angels.
Appearing at PaleyFest in Los Angeles, the trio stood together for the first time in several years, greeting photographers with radiant smiles as they celebrated five decades of the show's enduring legacy.
The actresses, who became household names during the series' original run on ABC from 1976 to 1981, released a joint statement reflecting on the programme's cultural impact.
They noted that the show "quietly delivered the important message that women are just as capable as men," while providing an hour of lighthearted escapism for millions of viewers each week.
Kate Jackson, making a rare public appearance, recalled the "rock star fame" that followed the pilot's success.
She was joined by Jaclyn Smith—the only cast member to remain for the entire five-season duration—and Cheryl Ladd, who famously stepped in during the second season following the departure of the late Farrah Fawcett.
The reunion marks a significant moment for fans, as Ms Jackson had largely remained out of the public eye for over a decade before recent family gatherings.
While the evening was dedicated to the "Angels" and their late co-stars, such as David Doyle and Tanya Roberts, the actresses expressed immense pride in their ability to "inspire and empower young women all over the world."
Née Kiari Cephus, the artist Offset has also recently navigated the complexities of global fame and group transitions.
Following the disbandment of his influential trio Migos, he has focused on individual growth, most recently seen in the October 2025 release of his 11-track project Haunted by Fame.
