Demi Lovato and her husband, Jutes, are set to spend their first wedding anniversary apart due to conflicting international tour schedules.

The couple, who married in May 2025, confirmed that professional obligations will pull them in different directions during the milestone, with Jutes touring Europe and North America while Lovato performs across the United States.

Speaking to E! News Jutes—whose real name is Jordan Lutes—admitted the situation is difficult to navigate. "It’s one of those things where we get sad when we talk about it," he explained.

"It’s gonna be tough, there’s no way around that." Despite the physical distance, the musician insisted they plan to celebrate once they reunite.

"We’re just gonna pretend. As soon as tour is over and we’re together, we’re gonna celebrate and that’ll be awesome."

Lovato echoed this sentiment in a separate interview, describing a relationship that has only deepened since their nuptials. "I really thought on my wedding day—that was maxed out," she told E! News.

"Then time goes by and you just form this connection that is so intimate and so fulfilling." Jutes further praised their supportive bond, noting that Lovato believes in him more than he believes in himself.

He also dismissed the idea that marital fighting is inevitable, noting that the pair prefer to spend their time "laughing until we're crying."

The couple first met in 2022 when Jutes co-wrote several tracks for Lovato’s album. They are both currently preparing for extensive live performances throughout the summer season.
