Joe Jonas opens up about festival strategy while hosting Coachella Aperol event
The singer hosted an Aperol Day Club event while kicking off the festival weekend in style
Joe Jonas is back at Coachella and offering advice from experience, sharing his personal survival tips for navigating the star-studded desert festival as he returns to Indio, California for the 2026 edition.
The Jonas Brothers musician, 36, kicked off the first weekend by hosting a party at the Aperol Day Club on Friday, April 10, where he joined guests in celebrating the start of the festival with themed experiences and signature drinks.
Speaking with People ahead of the event, Jonas said he was embracing the atmosphere while keeping things simple this year.
“I’ll be filling my rental up with Aperol spritz,” he said.
Reflecting on his years attending Coachella, Jonas revealed a few essentials he never skips, including sunscreen, portable battery packs—and, in an unexpected twist, his Xbox.
At the Aperol-hosted event, guests were treated to nail art inspired by the brand, frozen Aperol desserts, and even tooth gem installations. Jonas himself considered joining in, hinting he was tempted by matching nail designs and possibly a tooth gem.
“I’ve always been hesitant to do it,” he said, adding that recent dental visits made him more open to the idea. “We’ll see if they can convince me or if I can convince myself.”
Beyond the parties, Jonas said his focus at Coachella remains the music, naming acts like Turnstile, The xx, and Teddy Swims among those he was eager to see perform.
“It’s going to be really great,” he said, also praising the festival lineup and expressing excitement for fellow former Disney star Sabrina Carpenter, who is among the weekend’s headliners. “I feel quite proud of anyone that comes from the Disney-verse.”
Jonas also ended up making a surprise appearance during Teddy Swims’ set, performing the Jonas Brothers’ hit When You Look Me in the Eyes.
Despite the packed schedule and high-energy environment, Jonas said the key to enjoying Coachella is keeping things relaxed.
“Try to do as least movement as possible,” he advised. “Don’t chase the party. Just… if you’re happy in your little area, that’s great. It doesn’t matter.”
