Lindsay Hubbard shares sweet update on daughter Gemma, calls coparenting ‘seamless’
The reality star describes her 16-month-old as fearless, social, and full of personality
Lindsay Hubbard is embracing life as a mother while maintaining a strong coparenting relationship with her ex, Turner Kufe.
The Summer House star, 39, welcomed daughter Gemma in December 2024.
Although the couple has since split, Hubbard says their approach to raising their now 16-month-old is working smoothly.
“Gemma's amazing… she is just a godsend,” Hubbard told People while attending The Daily Front Row’s Fashion Los Angeles Awards on April 14.
She added that coparenting has been “going great,” with the pair often spending weekends together caring for their daughter.
Hubbard described Gemma as full of personality, calling her fearless, social, and affectionate.
“She wants to be the mayor everywhere she goes,” she said, sharing how her daughter greets people, blows kisses, and even mimics small habits like stirring drinks with a straw.
Despite the challenges of parenting, Hubbard joked that raising Gemma has given her a new appreciation for her own parents.
“I’m apologizing to my parents all the time because I’m like, ‘I’m exhausted,’” she said.
Even without a nanny on weekends, Hubbard and Kufe continue to “tag-team” parenting duties, spending time brunching and visiting friends together as a family.
Gemma has also made appearances on Summer House, charming Hubbard’s castmates. Co-star West Wilson described meeting the toddler as a memorable experience.
“She just locks eyes with you and makes faces and reactions… I almost cried twice,” he said, adding that the interaction changed his perspective on being around children.
Hubbard first announced her pregnancy in July 2024, calling it a moment that felt like her “prayers were answered,” especially after previously worrying about starting a family.
Since then, she has embraced motherhood fully, recently celebrating Gemma’s first birthday in December 2025 and sharing glimpses of their life together, including a spacious New York City home where her daughter even has her own dedicated play area.
