Brandon Barash has been granted an emergency restraining order against his ex-wife, Kirsten Storms, after a court review cited concerns over what was described in filings as a “mental health crisis.”

According to court documents obtained by People, a judge approved Barash’s request and also supported his petition for Storms, 42, to undergo a mental health evaluation. The filing was submitted in December 2025 and later reviewed in court.

Barash, 44, known for his role on Days of Our Lives, expressed concern about Storms’ wellbeing and her ability to safely parent their 12-year-old daughter.

He is also seeking supervised visitation arrangements for their child.

In the petition, Barash alleged that Storms contacted him in May 2025, claiming she was experiencing “delusions and hallucinations” and questioning her ability to care for their daughter during custody time.

He further stated that she was briefly hospitalized and placed under a psychiatric hold, though he claims she did not later acknowledge the incident.

The filing also includes claims from an unnamed friend who reportedly described Storms as experiencing emotional instability, including episodes of panic, paranoia, and hearing voices. The friend also allegedly raised concerns about possible substance use.

Barash further alleged that Storms has faced ongoing housing instability, including periods of living in hotels or with friends between September 2024 and June 2025.

He also claimed she expressed fears of being followed and that people were entering her living space to tamper with her belongings.

Additional claims in the filing state that Storms has experienced financial difficulties, including a potential vehicle repossession and an eviction lawsuit. Barash also stated he loaned her $5,000 during this period.

Storms, best known for her role on General Hospital, has not publicly responded to the court order. Representatives for both parties have been contacted for comment.

The former couple married in 2013 and welcomed a daughter before divorcing in 2016.

Despite their separation, they have continued to share co-parenting responsibilities.

Storms has previously spoken publicly about her health challenges, including a brain aneurysm diagnosed in 2025 and earlier neurological issues, though she has not indicated that they are connected to the current legal proceedings.

The case remains ongoing as the court continues to review custody and mental health-related matters.
