'Euphoria' star shuts down Sydney Sweeney and Zendaya feud rumors
The actress says the cast maintained a professional and friendly working environment
Rumors of behind-the-scenes tension on Euphoria have been shut down by one of the show’s cast members, who insists there is no real-life drama between Sydney Sweeney and Zendaya.
Speaking on Good Day New York, Jessica Blair Herman addressed ongoing speculation about a supposed feud between the HBO drama’s leading stars, firmly rejecting the claims.
“They really did,” Herman said when asked if the cast got along on set. “And I’m not just saying that.”
Herman, who appears in the third season of Euphoria, added that the working environment on set was professional and collaborative, dismissing the idea of any off-screen conflict.
“Really, they’ve created this beautiful working relationship and everyone wants to do the work, to come in and do the job,” she explained.
The actress also pushed back on interpretations suggesting tension between Sydney Sweeney and Zendaya, noting that the two stars rarely even share screen time due to the structure of the show’s storylines.
“To be fair, when I was there, they’re not sharing scenes,” Herman said. “Their storylines are very separate, you’re shooting on different days and stuff.”
Speculation about a rift between the two actors has circulated online for some time, fueled in part by cast photos and social media activity. Sweeney plays Cassie in the series, while Zendaya portrays Rue.
The latest season of Euphoria, released on HBO Max, continues to follow the interconnected lives of its central characters across separate narrative arcs.
