Reality television personality Taylor Frankie Paul used Mother’s Day to launch a stinging public attack on her The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives co-star, Mikayla Matthews.

In a series of emotional Instagram posts on Sunday, Paul accused Matthews of being a "snake friend" and an "enemy" for allegedly abandoning her during ongoing legal struggles with her ex-partner, Dakota Mortensen.

The feud was ignited by Matthews’ earlier comments regarding "healthy boundaries," where she expressed a desire to remain removed from Paul’s domestic disputes. Paul, however, viewed this as a personal betrayal.

"I STILL have ‘friends’ kicking me while I’m already down and calling it ‘setting a boundary’," she wrote. Paul further questioned Matthews’ lack of support despite knowing of her physical injuries, asking: "Did you see the hearing? Did you see the bruises?"

Matthews defended her stance by stating she could no longer enable "destructive behavior" especially when children were involved.

She noted that while she cares for Paul, she must prioritise her own healing and health. The dispute comes after a tumultuous period for the production; filming for the fifth season of the Hulu hit was temporarily halted in March following domestic violence investigations involving Paul and Mortensen.

Although Paul temporarily lost custody of her two-year-old son, Ever, in March, she was recently granted twelve hours of "parent-time" on Mother’s Day.

As filming is set to resume, Paul has made it clear she is no longer interested in maintaining the friendship, dismissively telling Matthews she can "find her way to the door."
