Kim Kardashian throws lavish pokémon-themed party for son Psalm’s 7th birthday

Kim Kardashian pulled out all the stops to celebrate son Psalm West turning 7 with an elaborate Pokémon-themed birthday party surrounded by family and friends.

The youngest child of Kardashian and rapper Kanye West marked the milestone birthday on May 9, with the celebration later shared by the SKIMS founder on Instagram through a series of colorful photos from the event.

“Pokemon Psalm!” Kardashian captioned the post, giving fans a glimpse inside the lavish party setup.

The celebration featured oversized Poké Ball balloons, towering Pokémon-themed decorations and a life-sized Pikachu figure that quickly became one of the standout attractions of the event.

Psalm embraced the party’s theme by wearing a black Pikachu T-shirt paired with black athletic shorts. The outfit was the same shirt he had previously worn during a recent family trip to Tokyo.

His sister Chicago West, 8, also joined in on the theme, wearing a graphic Pokémon T-shirt featuring characters including Pikachu and Ash Ketchum.

Meanwhile, brother Saint West, 10, appeared in a gray graphic tee and jeans, while older sister North West, 12, was not featured in the photos shared online.

Several cousins also attended the party, including Dream Kardashian, the daughter of Rob Kardashian.

The Kardashian family’s love for Pokémon has been visible in recent months. 

Kardashian was previously seen opening Pokémon card packs alongside Saint and DJ Steve Aoki, and she reportedly purchased a BGS 10-graded Hidden Fates Shiny Charizard card earlier this year.

The birthday celebration follows last year’s comic-book-inspired bash for Psalm, which featured a Deadpool & Wolverine theme.

Shortly after Psalm’s birth in 2019, Kardashian spoke about the positive impact her youngest son had on the family dynamic.

“They love him. He has helped everyone come together,” Kardashian previously said. “Everyone loves him. Like, obsessed with him.”
