Nicole Kidman is said to be on the lookout for a film project that could see her share the screen with Jacob Elordi, following a friendly encounter between the pair at this year's Academy Awards ceremony.

An insider told RadarOnline.com on Thursday that the 58-year-old actress has developed a crush on Elordi, who is 30 years her junior.

"Nicole has been on the lookout for a new, younger leading man, and after getting to know Jacob, it looks like her hunt is over," the source said.

An Oscars connection

Kidman and Elordi crossed paths at this year's Oscars, where she appeared as a presenter and he received a Best Supporting Actor nomination for his role in Frankenstein. According to the source, the pair also attended the same after-party following the ceremony.

Elordi equally keen

A separate source indicated that Elordi is just as enthusiastic about the prospect of a professional collaboration.
