Zendaya reveals she once forgot her lines on a Christopher Nolan film set
  • Zendaya has four films and Euphoria season three releasing in 2026
  • She simultaneously filmed The Odyssey, Dune: Part Three, and Euphoria at once
  • Zendaya admits she fluffed her lines once on The Odyssey set

For Zendaya, 2026 is shaping up to be the most prolific year of her career, with four films and the long-awaited third season of her celebrated television series all arriving within months of one another.

Memorising lines across three productions at once

The Golden Globe winner recently spoke about the experience of simultaneously filming Christopher Nolan's The Odyssey, Denis Villeneuve's Dune: Part Three, and the third season of HBO's Euphoria. Speaking to Elle, she recalled one particularly exhausting evening on set:

"I remember being on set for Euphoria; it was a night shoot at a ranch. I was so tired, but I was also learning my Chakobsa lines for Dune.

"And then I started writing out my lines to memorize for that quick turnaround trip I was going to make to Iceland [for The Odyssey]."

She went on to acknowledge the pressure of working with one of cinema's most acclaimed directors:

"It's not like I have a lot of lines in The Odyssey, but I was working with Christopher Nolan! The most embarrassing thing in life would be messing up my lines, which did happen once."

What's on screen now — and what's coming

Following last month's theatrical release of A24's The Drama, Zendaya is currently on screens reprising her role as Rue Bennett in Sam Levinson's Euphoria, which airs each Sunday at 9pm ET on HBO and HBO Max.

Her next release is The Odyssey, in which she plays Athena, premiering on 17 July. That is followed swiftly by Spider-Man: Brand New Day on 31 July, where she returns as MJ alongside her previously established role in the franchise.

She will also reprise the role of Chani in Dune: Part Three, which arrives in cinemas on 18 December.

Plans to step back after a landmark year

In March, Zendaya hinted that she intended to take a step back once her wave of releases had passed. She told fans she was "disappearing for a little bit" before adding:

"I just hope you guys don't get sick of me this year because I'll tell you what … I'm going to have to go into hiding for just a little bit."
