Shannon Elizabeth has made her first public appearance in a swimsuit in more than two decades — and she chose the shores of Mauritius to do it.

The American Pie star, 52, posted a video to Instagram on Sunday whilst on holiday at the Shangri-La Le Touessrok, a luxury resort on the island off the east coast of Africa.

The footage opens with Elizabeth in a ruched brown one-piece swimsuit before she is seen lounging on a daybed in a black v-neck bathing suit and eventually taking a dip in the ocean.

It marks the first time the actress has been photographed publicly in swimwear since a 2021 photoshoot for Maxim magazine.

A Mauritius moment

The video was posted as a promotional piece for the resort, with Elizabeth captioning it: "A day at Shangri-La Le Touessrok…pristine white sand beaches, a private island you reach by boat, and the most dreamy beachside lunch at Coco's Beach House. This place is something else."

OnlyFans success and divorce

The beach appearance comes at a particularly eventful moment in Elizabeth's personal life.

Fans have been seeing considerably more of the Texas-born actress since she joined OnlyFans last month, with Page Six exclusively reporting that the move followed her quietly filing for divorce from her husband, Simon Borchert — a South African conservation specialist whom she first met in 2015 and wed in 2021.

Their divorce was finalised earlier this month. She was previously married to fellow actor Joseph D. Reitman from 2002 until 2006.

The decision to join OnlyFans has proved remarkably profitable. Elizabeth earned nearly $1 million in her first week on the platform.

An insider told Page Six: "Over half of that was earned through direct messages to OnlyFans users, while tips and posts accounted for the rest."

Giving back through charity

Elizabeth's representative confirmed that a portion of the earnings will be channelled towards her philanthropic work via the Shannon Elizabeth Foundation — a charity dedicated to protecting endangered species, preserving critical habitats, supporting conservation rangers, and developing long-term environmental solutions. Plans are reportedly in place to host a gala in Las Vegas this summer to raise further funds.

"She's always hustling and genuinely loves interacting with her fans," her representative added of the actress, who relocated to South Africa in 2016.

What comes next

Elizabeth spoke to Page Six earlier this month, revealing she intends to remain in South Africa, though she is currently staying with friends whilst she determines where to settle following her divorce.

She said she has yet to encounter any overtly sexual requests on OnlyFans, and described the experience on the platform as "amazing" so far.

"There's some lines I probably won't cross, but as far as what I am crossing now, I think it's a moving target. It's changing because, as I get a good response from people, it makes me want to share more of my life and give them what they're hoping for — within my own boundaries."

Elizabeth first rose to prominence playing Nadia, a foreign exchange student from Czechoslovakia, in the 1999 comedy American Pie and its 2001 sequel American Pie 2.
