Suki Waterhouse has opened up about her close friendship with Taylor Swift, praising the global superstar for her resilience and ability to turn personal challenges into music.

Speaking to Variety, Waterhouse reflected on her time opening for Swift during the London leg of The Eras Tour at Wembley Stadium, saying she has witnessed firsthand how the singer processes difficult experiences.

“Knowing her as a friend, she’s actually been through so much,” Waterhouse said. “And I think the thing I always see in her is how she pulls herself through every time, and how everything that’s ever happened to her becomes another piece of art that becomes part of the legacy.”

She added that Swift’s approach to adversity is one of the most inspiring things about her, noting that it reflects the kind of artist many aspire to become.

“That’s so inspiring, that’s the artist that you want to be,” she said.

Waterhouse also praised Swift for supporting fellow artists, saying the pop star consistently creates opportunities that can be life-changing for those around her.

“The coolest thing about her is she gives other artists these insane opportunities that really change people’s lives,” she added.

The Daisy Jones & The Six star previously described performing at Wembley as a deeply personal milestone, revealing she had long dreamed of the moment before it actually happened.

“I was dreaming, dreaming, dreaming of this happening,” she told Rolling Stone. “I was manifesting super hard.”

She went on to describe the experience of stepping onto the stadium stage as surreal, especially sharing the moment with Swift in front of tens of thousands of fans.

“It definitely was a top, surreal life moment,” she said, calling it especially meaningful because her family was able to attend.

Waterhouse added that having her parents and loved ones experience the massive stadium show made the occasion even more special, describing it as a rare and emotional moment shared together.
