Megan Thee Stallion has signalled a bold new chapter, posting a sun-soaked yacht video on Tuesday, in which she previewed what appears to be unreleased music — weeks after confirming her split from NBA player Klay Thompson.
The yacht video
The 31-year-old rapper posted a clip to Instagram showing her at the helm of a boat, twerking, and taking shots of her Chicas Divertidas tequila brand, all soundtracked by new music.
"All that wifey s--- is dead / Put that s--- to bed," Megan raps in the video.
The post attracted swift reactions from fellow artists in the comments. Cardi B wrote, "Let me drive the boat," whilst rapper Monaleo commented, "SHE BACK!!!!!!!" — to which Megan replied with three pink heart emojis.
The Thompson split
The video arrived in the wake of Megan's public break-up with Thompson, 36, who plays for the Dallas Mavericks. On 25 April, she confirmed the end of their relationship in a statement to PEOPLE.
"I've made the decision to end my relationship with Klay," she said. "Trust, fidelity and respect are non-negotiable for me in a relationship, and when those values are compromised, there's no real path forward. I'm taking this time to prioritize myself and move ahead with peace and clarity."
Earlier that same day, Megan had appeared to accuse Thompson of infidelity via her Instagram Stories, posting a message over a black background.
"Cheating, had me around your whole family playing house… got 'cold feet,'" she wrote.
"Holding you down through all your HORRIBLE mood swings and treatment towards me during your basketball season, now you don't know if you can be 'monogamous????'" Megan continued. "Bitch I need a REAL break after this one .. bye yall."
Thompson has made no public comment on the matter.
Broadway exit and life since the split
Just two days after the break-up announcement, Megan confirmed she would be departing Broadway's Moulin Rouge! The Musical ahead of schedule, with her final performance brought forward to 1 May — more than two weeks earlier than her originally planned closing night of 17 May. The role had marked her Broadway debut, in which she played Zidler.
"Hotties, my last performance as Zidler in @moulinrougebway will be May 1," she wrote on Instagram on 27 April.
"It's been such an honor to be part of thee Moulin Rouge family and I've met so many amazing people in this theater! Y'all work so hard and I have so much respect for the dedication, the stamina, the work ethic, the time and the effort y'all put into the work!"
"I'm so grateful for the cast and crew that made this experience so meaningful," she continued. "And to all the Hotties that showed up or planned to attend, thank you for supporting me during this incredible journey! I LOVE YALL See you soon."
Moving on in style
Since her Broadway departure, Megan has wasted little time making her presence felt. She shared holiday snaps from a trip with Solange Knowles, took to the runway at 2026 Paraiso Miami Swim Week, and unveiled a new set of grills set with diamonds and her birthstone.
Her most recent musical release before the new tease was her self-titled album Megan, put out in 2024.
