Nick Jonas has recalled a tense mid-air incident involving actor Glen Powell, describing a turbulent private flight from Las Vegas nearly a decade ago that briefly raised alarm among passengers.

The 33-year-old Jonas Brothers singer shared the story during an appearance on Live with Kelly and Mark, where he reflected on a group trip that included Powell and several friends returning from Las Vegas when the aircraft experienced technical difficulties shortly after takeoff.

“We were in Vegas together with a group of friends, and on the way home, the plane basically took off and then — I don’t know the technical term for it — but there was an issue with the power,” Jonas said, describing the situation as unsettling.

The singer explained that the issue occurred shortly after departure, adding that the experience was particularly unnerving given the sudden nature of the malfunction.

Jonas also referenced Powell’s aviation background in a lighthearted way, noting that the actor was still early in his flying experience at the time.

Powell, known for his role in Twisters, had not yet completed his later flight training associated with Top Gun: Maverick.

Despite the tension onboard, Jonas said the flight ultimately landed safely, though not without visible anxiety from the crew.

“One of them was crying when we landed,” he recalled.

The incident took place nearly 10 years ago but resurfaced in Jonas’ memory as he discussed past travel experiences during the interview.

Beyond the story, Jonas is currently promoting his latest project Power Ballad, which also stars Paul Rudd.

He is also attached to the upcoming release Jumanji: Open World, scheduled to hit theaters on December 25.
