Frankie Grande, 43, has revealed that Céline Dion, 58, told him personally that Ariana Grande's impression of her on The Tonight Show left her laughing so hard she urinated. Frankie shared the anecdote during an appearance on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon on Thursday, recounting the moment Dion approached him in Las Vegas following his sister's viral performance. The story quickly drew laughter from the studio audience.
The Céline Dion encounter
Frankie set the scene by explaining that the encounter took place shortly after Ariana's now-famous impression aired. "The first time I met Céline Dion was right after Ariana was on your show and she did her Céline impersonation," he began.
He then described Dion rushing towards him at the Vegas venue: "And so I was there in Vegas and Céline comes literally running up to me and she's like, 'Oh my God, Frankie, you have to tell your sister when she did me on Jimmy Fallon I peed.' She goes, 'I was laughing so hard I peed myself. I peed.'"
Frankie followed up the story with his own impression of Dion, drawing further laughs from the crowd. "I love Céline Dion. She's my whole personality these days," he added.
The impression in question dates back to 2010, when Ariana, 32, appeared on The Tonight Show and took part in a game of random musical impressions, during which she was challenged to sing "Can't Feel My Face" in the style of Dion.
Frankie on Ariana's Eternal Sunshine Tour
Frankie also spoke about his sister's career during the awards season circuit. Speaking with People at the 2026 Tony Awards — the night after Ariana launched her Eternal Sunshine Tour — Frankie was effusive in his praise. "She's unbelievable. She's the greatest artist of our generation. I'm allowed to say this, but I also think everyone else would say this as well because it's the truth," he said. He added: "I saw the clips of her on social media and I didn't know anything. I purposefully wanted to be surprised when I went to the show, but now I'm not going for two weeks so I had to look. She's flying. She's looping. She's belting. She's got those heels to the sky. That ponytail is back. It's too much. It's all too much."
Broadway, the Tonys and an upcoming memoir
Frankie is currently starring in the Broadway musical Titanique, a production that retells the story of the 1997 blockbuster Titanic through the music of Céline Dion. The show received four nominations at the 2026 Tony Awards. Beyond the stage, Frankie is preparing to release a memoir titled SUPERGAY! on 23 June. "This book is my story, the journey of learning to fully accept myself, stop hiding, navigate fame, embrace sobriety, and ultimately discover my true superpower… being unapologetically loud, proud, and GAY! I poured my whole heart into these pages and yes, I narrated the audiobook myself," he wrote on Instagram.
