Maggie Grace's divorce from Brent Bushnell revealed after quiet split

Maggie Grace's divorce from entrepreneur Brent Bushnell has come to light nearly a year after it was finalized, with newly revealed court documents also disclosing that the former couple secretly welcomed a second child together.

According to documents obtained by TMZ, the Lost actress filed for divorce in May 2025, citing irreconcilable differences after the marriage had become "irretrievably broken."

The filing states that Grace and Bushnell had been living separately since October 2024. 

Before taking the matter to court, the former couple had already reached agreements covering their separation, property settlement and premarital arrangements, with the documents signed in March 2025.

The court records also revealed that the pair quietly welcomed a daughter, whose birth had not been publicly announced. 

The child was one year old when Grace filed for divorce. The former spouses are also parents to a son, who was born in 2020.

According to People, Grace was awarded primary custody of both children. Bushnell will have regular weekend parenting time with their son, while holidays will be shared. 

He is also expected to begin weekend custody with their daughter once she reaches three-and-a-half years old.

The divorce was finalized on Aug. 13, 2025, and the court also approved Grace's request to restore her maiden name, Ives.

Grace and Bushnell announced their engagement in February 2017 before tying the knot just three months later during an intimate ceremony in Ojai, California, attended by close family and friends.

At the time, celebrity jeweler Neil Lane revealed that Grace's wedding accessories were inspired by her Edwardian lace veil, featuring vintage diamond earrings and pearl-and-diamond hair combs from the same era.

Professionally, Grace is preparing for her next screen appearance in AMC's upcoming drama series Thunder Road, where she stars alongside Dennis Quaid and Chase Stokes.
