Cruz Beckham landed a major career milestone after securing performances at Reading and Leeds Festival, with friends of the Beckham family claiming the aspiring musician is proving himself through hard work.

The 21-year-old will perform with his band, Cruz Beckham & The Breakers, on the BBC Introducing stage as he prepares to release his debut EP later this summer.

Friends praise Cruz's commitment

The Sun reported that as per a Beckham family friend, Cruz has been "always in the studio practising, looking for the next best opportunity" and has shown a genuine passion for music.

"He might not end up a global star but he's going to go really far," the source claimed.

The insider also alleged that Cruz has "no intention of flitting between career paths and treating them as hobbies," adding that "while they're both nepo-babies, Cruz is putting Brooklyn to shame... at least Cruz is actually grafting."

Festival gigs mark major milestone

Cruz recently announced that his debut EP, Wear & Tear, will be released on August 21.

His Britpop and indie rock band has already released singles including Optics and Waste Your Pain, with the Reading and Leeds appearances marking one of the biggest bookings of his career so far.

Brooklyn continues other ventures

Meanwhile, Brooklyn Beckham has continued expanding his Cloud23 hot sauce business, which launched in 2024, alongside social media partnerships.

He recently appeared in a DoorDash advertisement referencing watching the 2026 FIFA World Cup from home, which reportedly surprised those close to David and Victoria Beckham.

According to the report, sources close to the couple felt the advert appeared at odds with Brooklyn's previously stated desire for privacy as tensions within the family continue.
