Tom Holland gushes over wife Zendaya in sweet 'The Odyssey' moment

Tom Holland shared another rare glimpse into his marriage with Zendaya after making a playful comment about his wife's role in The Odyssey during a cast interview.

The actor joked that even Greek mythology could not come between them while discussing the upcoming film alongside co-stars Matt Damon, Robert Pattinson and Anne Hathaway.

Holland jokes Zendaya is 'married to me'

During a Wired interview posted on July 16, Holland responded to a fan question asking whether Zendaya's character, Athena, was romantically interested in Damon's Odysseus.

"'Did Athena love Odysseus romantically?'" Holland read aloud before joking, "No, because she's married to me."

The quip drew smiles from his co-stars, with Damon responding, "Yep, good answer."

Later in the interview, Pattinson asked what Athena teaches Holland's character, Telemachus.

Without missing a beat, Damon joked, "True love," prompting more laughter from the group.

Couple continue to keep marriage private

Holland's light-hearted remark comes a month after he officially confirmed his marriage to Zendaya following months of speculation.

Speaking to Esquire last month about AI-generated wedding photos that circulated online, the Spider-Man star said he never felt the need to correct them because "they were all there," referring to his friends and family.

However, he made it clear he would not reveal further details about the ceremony, adding, "That's all you'll get on that."

Zendaya explains why privacy matters

Zendaya has also spoken about balancing life in the spotlight while protecting her relationship.

"I'm aware that I'm a public person and so is he," she said during an appearance on The New York Times' Modern Love podcast.

"I am a very private person and I try my best to be able to have things for myself and for him as well," she added, explaining that while she understands fans' interest in their romance, she wants to keep parts of their relationship out of the public eye.
