Actor Megan Fox is set to return for a sequel to the 2009 cult horror film Jennifer's Body. Director Karyn Kusama and screenwriter Diablo Cody, who both worked on the original feature, are also expected to return for the upcoming project.

Dread Central reported that while Fox will reprise her leading role as Jennifer, it remains unknown whether co-star Amanda Seyfried will return as her best friend, Anita. Reports indicate that principal photography for Jennifer's Body 2 is scheduled to begin in Vancouver in October. The original film followed high school cheerleader Jennifer, who becomes possessed after a failed ritual performed by an indie rock band. The character subsequently transforms into a demon who preys on her male classmates while Anita attempts to stop her.

Although the original Jennifer's Body performed poorly at the box office and received mixed reviews upon its initial release in 2009, the movie has since gained a significant cult following, particularly among horror cinema fans. The critical re-evaluation over the years transformed the feature into a celebrated property within the genre, paving the way for the development of a follow-up feature.

The sequel could mark a major career return for Fox, who has appeared in relatively few acting projects over recent years. The Transformers actor was last seen starring in the 2024 science-fiction thriller Subservience and appearing in the comedy series Overcompensating. Her return to the horror franchise reunites key creative figures behind the original production to expand the story for contemporary audiences.
