Jen Landon has looked back on one of the most frightening moments from her time on Yellowstone, revealing that co-star Ian Bohen narrowly avoided serious injury after being kicked in the face by a cow during filming.

Speaking at a Yellowstone reunion panel at Fanboy Expo in Knoxville, Tennessee, Landon recalled the incident, which happened while the cast was shooting a cattle branding scene.

According to the actress, one of the cows suddenly moved and struck Bohen in the face.

“If he wasn't such a tremendous athlete, I'm telling you, you wouldn't have a face,” Landon said, describing how close the accident came to causing severe injuries.

Landon admitted the moment initially seemed almost unbelievable, with people on set reacting with nervous laughter despite Bohen bleeding after the impact.

However, Bohen corrected one part of the story, saying he was not laughing because the kick immediately knocked him to the ground.

“I went down instantly,” the actor recalled.

Landon later said the seriousness of the accident quickly hit her, admitting she became emotional after realizing how badly her co-star could have been hurt.

The actress, who joined Yellowstone in 2020 as Teeter, has previously revealed she exaggerated her horseback riding experience to land the role, despite not having ridden since childhood.

She later trained extensively and eventually learned to rope cattle while working on the hit Western series.
