Charlie Puth calls out Elon Musk over SpaceX rocket noise
The ‘Attention’ singer criticises Elon Musk following SpaceX rocket launch noise
Charlie Puth recently expressed his grievances toward Elon Musk.
On Wednesday, December 10, the 34-year-old singer took to his official X account to address the 54-year-old SpaceX founder.
In a shocking post, Puth called out Musk over the noise from a rocket launch near his home in Santa Barbara, California.
"Hi elonmusk …these sonic booms have gotten progressively louder since they started launching the rockets in Santa Barbara," the Attention hitmaker wrote.
He added, "This one at 3am today felt like 150-160 dB, violently shook our whole house, and really frightened my pregnant wife. I hope they do not get louder.”
For those unversed, Charlie and his wife, Brooke Sansone, announced in October that they are expecting their first child.
However, Elon has not yet responded to the See You Again crooner’s complaints.
Meanwhile, a pre-launch notice on the official SpaceX website warned that loud sonic booms could affect areas near the rocket launch site.
The statement read, "On Wednesday, December 10 at 3:40 a.m. PT, Falcon 9 launched 27 Starlink satellites to low-Earth orbit from Space Launch Complex 4 East (SLC-4E) from Vandenberg Space Force Base in California."
"This was the 18th flight for the first stage booster supporting this mission, which previously launched USSF-62, OneWeb Launch 20, NROL-145, and now 15 Starlink missions. Following stage separation, the first stage landed on the Of Course I Still Love You droneship, which was stationed in the Pacific Ocean," the statement continued.
Toward the end, SpaceX shared, "There was a possibility that residents of Santa Barbara, San Luis Obispo, and Ventura counties may have heard one or more sonic booms during the launch, but what residents experienced depended on weather and other conditions."
