Kristen Bell shares rare family photos for daughter Lincoln’s 13th birthday
The couple continues to keep their children mostly out of the public eye
Kristen Bell is sharing a rare insight into her private family life while celebrating a special milestone for her eldest daughter.
The actress, 45, marked daughter Lincoln’s 13th birthday with a heartfelt Instagram tribute on March 28, sharing a collection of never-before-seen family photos and videos featuring husband Dax Shepard and their two children.
“13 years ago today we had our first baby girl [heart emoji]” Bell wrote.
“Getting to know her wit, compassion, and sense of adventure has brought us a kind of joy we didn’t have a word for before we met her.”
She continued by reflecting on the deeper meaning of family and parenthood, calling it both “the hardest and best thing” she has ever experienced.
“Getting to love this kid is the greatest job on earth,” Bell added. “Happy 13th birthday baby girl.”
The post included touching moments from over the years, including a clip of Lincoln and her younger sister Delta, 11, excitedly greeting their father at the door while wearing party hats.
Dax Shepard responded in the comments with an emotional string of crying emojis, reflecting the couple’s shared pride and joy.
Bell and Shepard, who married in 2013, have long kept their daughters largely out of the public spotlight, choosing instead to share occasional glimpses into their parenting journey.
In a previous episode of Shepard’s podcast, he opened up about their parenting philosophy, explaining that while their daughters may appear outspoken to some, he encourages them to be confident and advocate for themselves.
“I want them to always stand up for themselves,” he said, noting that he prioritizes raising strong, independent young women.
