Caitlyn Jenner files $450K claim against late friend Sophia Hutchins’ estate

Caitlyn Jenner has filed a claim seeking nearly $450,000 from the estate of her late friend and former manager, Sophia Hutchins.

According to court documents obtained by People, Jenner alleged in a March 27 creditor’s claim that Hutchins owed her $439,095.88 in unpaid expenses and personal spending.

Hutchins had been using Jenner’s credit cards, and the former Olympian claims the funds were to be reimbursed before Hutchins’ unexpected death.

Hutchins tragically died in July 2025 at age 29 in an ATV accident near Jenner’s Malibu home.

According to the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department, the accident occurred after Hutchins’ ATV rear-ended another vehicle and went over a ravine, falling 350 feet.

Her death was later ruled an accident by the County of Los Angeles Department of Public Health.

Jenner’s attorneys filed the claim months after Hutchins’ death, on November 19, 2025.

The first issuance of letters was mailed on December 4, and the estate “allowed” the claim in the $439,095.88 amount on March 30, though court approval is required for certain claims before payment.

At the time of Hutchins’ passing, Jenner publicly reflected on the loss during a Fox News Night appearance on August 28, 2025, saying, “Just recently, my good friend Sophia passed away in a tragic accident. For the last seven weeks, I’ve been dealing with death, and it’s so difficult.”

Hutchins, who was 29, had been closely involved in Jenner’s professional and personal life, making her sudden death all the more devastating for the former Olympian.
