Country music legend Ray Stevens has suffered a serious injury but is now recovering at home.

The Grammy-winning singer was hospitalized after a fall on Sunday, March 29, that resulted in a broken neck.

According to a statement shared with People, Stevens “remains fully mobile and in good spirits” as he recovers. Doctors have advised him to wear a neck brace for approximately four weeks.

Despite the accident, Stevens’ highly anticipated album, Favorites Old & New, is still set to be released on Friday, April 10.

The 13-track collection features a mix of classic standards and new songs from a variety of talented songwriters.

Fans can expect beloved tracks such as The Look of Love, Come Rain or Come Shine, and It Had To Be You.

In a related note about Stevens’ health, the singer recently underwent a minimally invasive heart procedure following chest pains.

After visiting a Nashville hospital, he was diagnosed with a minor heart attack and successfully underwent heart catheterization.

At the time, he had to cancel scheduled performances at the CabaRay Showroom in West Nashville.

A representative for Stevens reassured fans that the country star is “continuing to recover steadily” and remains dedicated to his music, even as he navigates this challenging period.
