Dakota Johnson and Role Model spotted kissing in Los Angeles

Dakota Johnson’s love life is heating up, as the Fifty Shades star has been quietly dating singer-songwriter Role Model (né Tucker Pillsbury).

The pair, first spotted spending time together last December, have been seen holding hands and sharing a kiss in Los Angeles’ Los Feliz neighborhood on April 3, according to a source close to People.Over the weekend, the couple also enjoyed coffee dates, showing their relationship is far from a casual fling.

“It's definitely more than a flirtation,” the insider said. “Dakota really does like him, but she’s also taking things slow after her previous long-term relationship.”

Johnson, 36, and Chris Martin, 49, had an on-and-off romance from October 2017 until June 2025, which was reportedly years in the making.

The source added, “They’re very much on the same page. It just feels easy. She thinks he’s cute and he treats her incredibly well.”

Johnson’s mother, Melanie Griffith, was also spotted giving her approval, telling a photographer, “I think he's fabulous,” when asked about the musician.

Role Model, 28, PEOPLE’s first-ever Sexiest Man Alive centerfold, was previously linked to YouTuber Emma Chamberlain from 2020 to 2023.

Johnson herself has been linked to a few high-profile names before Martin, including Noah Gersh, Jordan Masterson, and Matthew Hitt.
