John Wick star warns new talent against being 'jerks' in Hollywood industry

Renowned Hollywood veteran Keanu Reeves has shared a characteristically blunt set of guidelines for the next generation of performers during a recent promotional tour for his upcoming comedy, Outcome.

In a candid discussion with E! News, the John Wick star emphasised the necessity of maintaining basic human decency and professional etiquette within the high-pressure environment of a film set.

Addressing up-and-coming artists directly, Reeves offered a succinct piece of wisdom regarding interpersonal conduct, stating, "Try not to be a f---- a-----." He further expanded on the importance of collaborative harmony, advising new talent to "Go to work and respect who you're working with until they prove they don't get your respect."

The actor acknowledged that while the industry can be challenging, personal character should remain a priority. Reeves added, "Try not to be [an a----]. It might not work out, but try."

This sentiment was echoed by his co-star, Matt Bomer, who suggested that a strong support system is vital for staying grounded.

Bomer remarked, "If you're lucky like Reef, surround yourself with friends and keep your friends who maybe knew you before, if you can, who can really ground you and are going to be there by your side through the good and the bad."

Meanwhile, Cameron Diaz contributed her perspective on the unpredictable nature of celebrity, noting, "I would say there's no handbook or manual on being famous, so you have to write your own and follow your own manuscript." Reeves first achieved international stardom in the 1989 classic Bill & Ted's Excellent Adventure.
