Marshals features dramatic romantic developments on Kayce Dutton team
Logan Marshall-Green plays Cal, who shares a whiskey-fuelled kiss with Belle
The latest episode of "Marshals", the new CBS "Yellowstone" spinoff which aired on Sunday, delivered a series of high-stakes romantic complications for Kayce Dutton’s team.
Centred on the internal lives of the U.S. Marshals, the broadcast saw Cal, played by Logan Marshall-Green, grappling with a secret regarding his teammate Belle’s husband.
After Belle, portrayed by Arielle Kebbel, revealed that she and her husband maintain an open arrangement, the pair shared an unexpected kiss.
Both characters quickly recoiled, with Belle branding the encounter a "terrible idea" and Cal blaming the influence of alcohol and an exhausting day for the lapse in professional judgment.
Simultaneously, Kayce, played by Luke Grimes, faced his own romantic hurdles while visiting Dolly, portrayed by Ellyn Jameson.
During a dinner following a horseback ride, Kayce found himself dodging a kiss from Dolly, later confessing to colleague Andrea his profound guilt over moving on following the death of his wife, Monica.
Despite the initial tension, the pair reconciled by the episode’s conclusion. Meanwhile, Marshal Miles, played by Tatanka Means, finally acted on a long-standing crush by asking out local bartender Maddie.
However, the romantic victory was short-lived when Maddie revealed her identity as Cal’s daughter, leaving a stunned Miles to consider the professional fallout.
"Marshals" continues to explore the intersection of law enforcement and personal struggle in the American West.
The series, led by showrunner Taylor Sheridan, airs weekly on CBS at 8pm ET, following the team’s journey across rugged landscapes and complex social territories.
