Blake Lively faces career scrutiny amid ongoing legal battle with Justin Baldoni
The actress’s legal battle continues to draw attention ahead of a 2026 trial date
Blake Lively is facing renewed scrutiny over her Hollywood future as her ongoing legal dispute with co-star Justin Baldoni continues to escalate, according to recent reports.
The legal conflict stems from the pair’s collaboration on the film adaptation of Colleen Hoover’s It Ends with Us, which became the center of a dispute after Lively filed a sexual harassment lawsuit against Baldoni in December 2024.
Although the case is still ongoing, a report from a Disney executive shared with the Daily Mailindicates that the situation has significantly affected Blake Lively's standing in Hollywood.
According to the insider, this controversy has created professional uncertainty for the actress. These claims, however, remain unverified allegations.
The legal battle has seen mixed developments in court. In June 2025, a judge dismissed Baldoni’s $400 million countersuit against Lively and her husband Ryan Reynolds, along with associated production companies, after finding insufficient grounds that her statements were false.
More recently, however, the court reportedly dismissed 10 of 13 claims brought by Lively in her lawsuit against Baldoni, narrowing the scope of her case but not bringing it to a conclusion.
Despite ongoing legal maneuvering, neither side has reached a settlement agreement, and the matter is now expected to proceed to trial on May 18, 2026.
As proceedings continue, both parties remain legally engaged in what has become one of Hollywood’s closely watched disputes, with significant implications still pending depending on the outcome in court.
