TikTok expands original scripted content with Sam Morgan's romantic drama

TikTok is eager to dive deeper into creating original vertical dramas.

Recently, the social media platform has become a hub for original scripted vertical series and is further expanding with a new romantic drama featuring Sam Morgan.

The series, which has yet to be named, includes Morgan, who has appeared in CBS's Blue Bloods and Bull, alongside Vanessa Von Schwarz (Cheer Queen Returns To Slay).

Morgan portrays Andre Voss-Emerson, a carefree Silicon Valley playboy who has harbored a silent affection for supermodel Clara Murphy (Von Schwarz) since high school.

When she suddenly reappears, now dating his brother, he faces the dilemma of risking everything to finally be with her.

Morgan has also featured in several vertical dramas such as No Mercy for the Cuckoo, The Maid with His Blood: Came Back to Burn, The Lady Boss’ Small Town Valentine, and A Mistaken Baby With the Mafia Enemy.

The upcoming series will debut freely within TikTok's new originals section; most vertical dramas on the platform require payment.

The production is carried out by 24K Onions, a company established by Yang Bohan and Sun Tianze, Chinese filmmakers with degrees from the American Film Institute who also produced My Secret With Country Boys and Bring It On: My Mafia Life.

This project is in collaboration with TikTok, which acts as both distributor and collaborator on the intellectual property.
