Production on 'Secret Lives of Mormon Wives' was paused earlier this year
Taylor Frankie Paul is hoping to return to filming her hit reality series after prosecutors declined to pursue charges stemming from a domestic incident involving her former partner.
Production on Secret Lives of Mormon Wives was previously paused following allegations of domestic violence between Paul and Dakota Mortensen earlier this year, which led to increased scrutiny of their on-again, off-again relationship.
According to a source who spoke to Us Weekly, Paul is now hopeful that filming will soon begin again.
“She’s hopeful Secret Lives of Mormon Wives will continue soon and cameras will pick back up,” the source said, noting that no official confirmation has been made regarding the show’s return.
The update comes after the Salt Lake County District Attorney’s Office declined to file charges following a review of evidence submitted by local police departments, including Draper and West Jordan authorities.
Paul had previously faced legal trouble connected to a 2023 incident involving Mortensen, which included allegations of aggravated assault.
She later pleaded guilty, while additional charges related to domestic violence in the presence of a child and other claims were dismissed.
The case also had wider professional repercussions for Paul. A planned season of The Bachelorette featuring her was scrapped after footage from the incident surfaced publicly, prompting network executives to pull the show from its scheduled release.
Despite the controversy, Paul is now reportedly focused on repairing relationships with fellow cast members and rebuilding stability within the show’s ensemble.
“She’s trying to mend things with the other girls so everyone can move forward peacefully,” the source added.
Paul shares three children, Indy, Ocean, and Ever, with her ex-partner, and has largely kept her personal life under public attention due to her role on reality television.
As legal matters appear to have reached a resolution, the future of Secret Lives of Mormon Wives now hinges on production decisions, with fans awaiting confirmation on whether the series will officially resume.
