Netflix unveils 'Wednesday' Season 3 first-look: 'From Paris, with Dread'
Season 3 of 'Wednesday' is projected to premiere on Netflix around 2027
The melancholy has reached the City of Love.
Wednesday Season 3 has brought production to Paris, France, revealing the iconic braided character standing beside the Eiffel Tower.
The image is captioned "From Paris, with dread. De Paris, avec effroi." In French, effroi can also mean "fear."
Although the main sets are in Ireland, the French capital is conveniently located nearby, but how it ties into the storyline remains uncertain since Nevermore Academy is based in Jericho, Vermont.
Perhaps, as one commentator speculated, it could involve Enid fleeing in werewolf form after her transformation to Alpha under the full moon.
Filming for Season 3 of the series began in Ireland late in February 2026, with new cast members like Chris Sarandon (Dog Day Afternoon, The Princess Bride), Noah Taylor (Peaky Blinders, Game Of Thrones), Oscar Morgan (A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms, Gotham Knights), Kennedy Moyer (Task, Roofman) and Winona Ryder (Stranger Things, Beetlejuice Beetlejuice) joining.
Ryder will take on the role of Tabitha, Noah Taylor will be Cyrus, Oscar Morgan will become Atticus, and Kennedy Moyer will take the character of Daisy.
Each of these new characters is marked with a capital B monogram atop their name on their place card in a promotional video marking the production's start.
Chris Sarandon portrays Balthazar. The Addams family lore includes a Cousin Balthazar, who was believed to be deceased since Gomez and Morticia met at his funeral.
Eva Green (Miss Peregrine’s Home For Peculiar Children and Dark Shadows), is set to play Morticia Addams’ sister, Ophelia. The returning cast features Jenna Ortega (Wednesday Addams), Catherine Zeta-Jones (Morticia Addams), Luis Guzmán (Gomez Addams), and more.
Joanna Lumley takes on the role of Grandmama Hester Frump and has been promoted to a series regular, while Noah B. Taylor, who was Enid’s werewolf love, Bruno, in Season 2 has exited.
As of early April, Lena Headey (Game of Thrones), Andrew McCarthy (St. Elmo’s Fire), and James Lance (Ted Lasso) were announced as guest stars.
Season 3 of Wednesday is projected to premiere on Netflix around 2027.
