  • Justin Bieber hit a career-high of 125 million monthly Spotify listeners.
  • His catalogue generated over 100 million streams in a single day.
  • Coachella was fined $20,000 for Bieber’s set exceeding the Indio curfew.

Justin Bieber has re-established his dominance over the music industry following back-to-back headline performances at the Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival.

The 32-year-old Canadian superstar has achieved a monumental milestone by soaring to 125 million monthly listeners on Spotify, making him only the fourth artist in the platform’s history to reach such heights.

This surge in popularity has revitalised his extensive music catalogue, with over twenty legacy tracks, including favourites like "Stay" and "Beauty and a Beat," making a dramatic return to global music charts.

The scale of Bieber's resurgence was most evident on 15 April 2026, when he pulled off a staggering 100 million-plus streams in a single day.

This rapid growth has propelled his global ranking to second place, trailing only Bruno Mars in current monthly reach.

Despite this close competition for the top spot, Bieber remains significantly higher on Spotify’s all-time most-streamed list, currently holding the seventh position, while Mars follows further behind at fourteenth.

However, the "Baby" hitmaker’s triumphant return to the desert was not without its complications for festival organisers.

Goldenvoice, the company behind Coachella, was hit with a $20,000 fine by the city of Indio after Bieber’s Saturday night set violated the strict 1:00 a.m. curfew.

The performance reportedly ran over by just over two minutes, triggering the automatic penalty.

Bieber previously took a four-year hiatus from live touring to focus on his health and his young family following the birth of his son, Jack.
